You may think ink refills are only for your stamp pads. Not true! This is one of my favorite techniques because the results are different each time. I love the way the colors blend so smoothly.
All it takes is a few simple steps using dye ink refills and a baby wipe.
The key is choosing the right combination of colors. You can experiment with different color combinations, although you probably don’t want to use more than two or three (too many and you end up with a not-so-nice muddy brown).
In addition to experimenting with colors, try squeezing out the drops in a variety of patterns; this also affects the look you create.
You will find this kaleidoscope of colors a fun way add some pizzaz to your stamped creations.
Supplies Needed:
- Classic Ink Refills
- Baby Wipes
- Card stock
- Solid stamps
1) Squeeze a few drops of ink on a baby wipe; the moistened material absorbs the colors and creates a one-of-a-kind ink pad.
2) Stamp your image.
3) Don't throw out the baby wipe just yet. Try this on glossy white card stock for the most dramatic results. Gently swipe the inked wipe over your card stock to create a multicolored background. Now you can use your Sizzix dies or shape punches to create one of a kind embellishments.
