May the best Scoring Tool survive!
By now you should have received the fabulous 2011 Holiday Mini catalog in the mail*. Take a look at pages 6-7. Yep, another gotta have product! Yes, I already have a Score Pal (in two sizes) and Martha Stewart's cutting board (which I really do not like for many of the reasons noted in Cynthia's comparison).
Okay so why would anyone NEED another Scoring Tool? Enter SU's Simply Scored Scoring Tool. Once you try it, you'll be blown away.
Oh, don't take my word. Read Cynthia Mundie's side by side comparison of the three Scoring Tools and see for yourself.
Next time you're on Facebook, please stop by and visit my new FB page. My goal is to get 25 "likes" by Friday so the page will be officially named "Java Judi". So, c'mon by and "LIKE" my page!

Fran Sabad Rocks! Check out these clever ideas she created with using the Button Buddies stamp set (my new favorite set). 3X3 cards are soooo cute! Check out how she added the designer paper on the envelope flaps. Just darling!

I finally reached a point of no return. That is, it was too late to return the items I had purchased. It was also not stimulating to enter my craft room because of all the clutter and stuff everywhere.
So over the recent months, little by little, I've been going through and taking an inventory. It's a great feeling to know what you have. I can actually say now when I walk into my craft room, I can see a flat surface or two.
It doesn't happen overnight. It took many years to collect all the items I've accumulated. It's going to take some time to sift through them. NO, thank goodness I am not a candidate for A&E's TV show Hoarders, although I have to say seeing how bad it could get was my impetus for coming clean.
So now that I've spent a great deal of time organizing and "re-organizing" my supplies to make them accessible when I need them, I thought I'd share some tools to help you too. One of the many benefits I'm realizing is I am less likely to purchase multiple (duplicate, unnecessary, redundant) amounts of supplies that I already own.
Here are a few charts to help you get started and fill in as you go through your stash:

I love how easy it is to add dimension to this single stamp using the 5-petal Flower and Fancy Flower punch. Take a look at what Jen Sannes from Simple and Sincere blog created.

Funny thing about this stamp set is that three gals ordered it from my monthly club this month. Okay now I need to get it too!

Here is another ornament for the fall holidays. And another one that I saw somewhere and said: "I can make THAT!"
This ornament, like the other ornament for fall (see it here), starts with a plain, 3" round ornament from a big box craft store. Then you can use silk leaves, or real leaves, or preserved leaves. I found mine in the florist section of my local grocery store. Apply the leaves one at a time with Mod Podge or other decoupage medium. When dry, apply more Mod Podge all over. I used the gloss finish Mod Podge, and you can see the brush marks when you get close. And the glass is no longer completely transparent. But I don't mind that look, and the brush marks are not obvious from a distance. I finished with a large, gold, organdy ribbon with wired edges. A pretty chocolate brown or ochre color would look great too!
